Wed: went double o with shuann, hazel and jessica.. woohoo.. it's fun but i dun drink and not high enough.. so i suppose it's boring to go clubbing with me hor??.. haha.. i had fun and it's really an interesting experience.. :p

Thur: meet up vivien first to get a belated birthday present for clarine.. we got her a scarf, 'snow cap' with STARS.. and a pair of thermal socks.. hehe.. then we went astons restaurant at the cathay for dinner.. queue for quite long.. but i tin it's worth it.. i had a chargrilled chicken with mushroom soup.. it's only 10 bucks including gst.. even after we finished our dinner, the queue is still super long.. haha.. after which we went back to PS and took a grp photo in front of the xmas tree, a symbolic one..

waa.. i have not been updating my blog for one semster.. yes.. one semster.. ever since i returned from korea.. i duno wat to update perhaps i'm not expressive enough?? i tin so..

before i started yr 1 sem 2 on 11 aug, i was in korea for 1.5 mth for my summer sch.. i haven not taken any long break.. actually for this semster, i'm really exhausted.. hopng that this semster will end qiuckly.. on tue, i was done with my last paper,GEM2900.. pls do not ever take that GEM.. it killed me.. hopefully i would get at least a C so that i can SU it..

after my last paper, went out with vivien.. we went to watch Cape No 7 at PS so as to collect jovian's phone.. this is the 3rd time in 1 yr that i send her phone for repair..samsung phone.. haiz..

Went to Myeong Dong and Dongdaemun for shopping.. left my dorm at 10am and i reached my dorm at 9.30pm.. so i did alomost 11 hr of shopping.. after i came to korea, i became a shopping fanatic.. omg.. so far, this was the day that i have spent so much..

Went to meet Eun-ae and her cousin today.. she's from Sungshing women uni and she is studyin law now.. woohoo.. so smart ya.. she said that she has finished studying for the final exam nx wk and i haven even started.. omg!! too slack.. anyway, she brought her cousin along to help us do manicure.. her cousin is now at an university attending grooming course.. wahaha.. and she helped us do the manicure for free.. we went to a very nice cafe to do our manicure.. the cafe is so princess-like.. the decos are fantastic.. in return, kim, jolene and i paid for their drinks..

Lotte World 25.07.2008

We skipped the Seoul Jump festival and went to Lotte world instead.. it rained in the morning.. but luckily the weather was quite good for the rest of the day.. We reached Lotte world at abt 9.15am and u know wat.. We only left Lotte World near 11pm.. so we really make full use of our time and make our tix (27,000 won) worth it.. haha.. overall it was quite ok.. but i realised that the theme park is actually quite small.. in addition, i had the dizzy and vomitting feeling after reaching my hostel and settling down..

Jeju Island

We are supposed to meet at 5am as we were taking the earliest flight at 7.20am.. so i left my dorm at 5am sharp.. but due to some delay, we only sch at 5.30am.. my half hr worth of slping time was gone..
Upon reaching the airport, we rushed like crazy.. we din even manage to buy any breakfast from the convenience store as the bus is waiting for us(hav to take a bus to the plane)

We took hansung airline, supposedly to be a budget airline.. but the in-flight entertainment was good.. the air stewardness even performed some magic tricks and try their best to communicate to us..
Jeju is really a place for nature sight-seeing. so get ready to see all the scenary photos.. and i alr forgot the names of the different attractions.. hehe.. :p

Finally got to eat my BBQ meat buffet yesterday.. actually wanted to eat on mon.. but jolene wanted to go to myeong dong to look for her hello kitty shop.. in the end, she din go as she was bz preparing the econs notes.. then tue, she wanted to go to her hello kitty shop and it was postponed again..

during the korean lesson, i heard that the guys are goin to hav meat buffet.. omg!! so happy!! finally someone is goin.. all the girls went shopping and i went with other 4 guys to hav the buffet.. haha.. the meal was so satisfying and fulfilling.. i din bring my camera so no pics!! nvm, i'll go the nx time and take more pics ya.. hehe :p i even had an ice-cream after that.. hhaha.. terrible for a girl to choose eating instead of shopping .. haha.. i still luv shopping.. so myeong dong and dongdaemun, wait for me!!

alright.. got to start studying.. having my managerial acctg mid term tml.. jia you!! goin home in another 3 weeks- happy :p

so excited today.. finally i'm goin to the da chang jin palace.. got up in the morning.. took a photo as i still hav some time be4 meeting the rest of the girls..

We brought the travel guide with us.. but the subway map in the travel guide is not updated.. and waiting for the bus for abt 20 min, we finally reached the da chang jin theme park.. but it starts to rain when we were walking in.. what a spoiler?? spoilt our day..

Early in the morning, i got up fpr the day trip to Changdeokgung Palace and Isadong.. since jess and the rest have to go to hana bank to settle the accommodation charges.. i jus tagged along, stopping at Issac to get breakfast.. the bread is really not bad..

We met the KU buddies, had a bit of delay, got onto the bus successfully and set off to our 1st destination : Changdeokgung 昌德宫.. when we reached the place, the tour only starts 30 min later.. so the KU buddies brought us to the souvenir shop beside the palace to shop and to enjoy air-con as it's getting hotter in korea now..

After the Isadong shopping, Ji Hye, Na-ae and Hyun Seok brought us to Myeong Dong by bus.. i'm still not used to hav the driver on the left.. still confused by the environment as everything goes opposite.. not used to see drivers on left side of the car.. in Singapore, the bus shld be the slowest among all vehicles and shld keep left.. but here, the bus has to keep right.. on subway escalators, u are supposed to keep right instead of left.. oh my.. all messed up..

This is my lunch for ytd.. as i say, i'm on budget nowadays.. haha.. it look like maggie mee right? it's ramen with kimbap (sushi).. this set is only for 1,500 won (S$2).. worth it nia..

We went to Seoul Tower aka Namsan Tower today (10 July 2008). We waited for the rest of the group at the Korea Uni main gate.. this is when i saw the Crimson House.. This is the place that i had put under my consideration when i was kicked out from CJ-I House.. After i see the creepy building, i jus feel luckily i din go there to stay..

We arranged to meet HyunSeok (our KU buddy) and he brought us to this eatery.. it is very home-like and gives a warm feeling.. moreover, there are so many dishes and it's only 4,000 won per person (less than S$6) and the dishes are refillable..

Since the time was getting late, we split into 3 groups and took a cab to the place where we can take cable car to seoul tower so that we dun hav to climb up the mountain..

On the cab.. they hav GPRS on the cab.. and it is 3D not 2D..

When we reached the cable car building, scenery was nice.. a pity that we can't catch the sunset..

After getting opinions from joyce, vivien and xinling (my dearest room mate :p), i decided not to drop my korean module.. i'll persevere and work hard.. i really work hard durin last sun, trying to memorise the vowels and consonants.. but i still failed my dictation badly.. omg!!!

Kim and i discussed about the amount that we hav spent so far.. then i realised that i din keep track of my my expenditure.. and so i calculated my expenditure and i hav already spent like 1/3 of my money... oh my!! how am i goin to survive in the nx 5 weeks?? after the calculation, i have been scrimping and saving.. went to the student union building to eat.. the food is cheap but awful.. can get 1 meal at abt S$1.90.. cheap nia.. cannot even find in singapore or even our uni..

the whole grp of nus ppl has been planning to go Jeju Island this wkend.. sorry jess.. i know that i'm a bit ma fun cuz i hope to stay within my budget.. thanks jess!!! muackz... hope to hav fun during my jeju trip ya!! :p

today, i went to ewha women university station to shop.. quite a good shopping area.. things are quite cheap but only towards the inner area of the shopping area.. those on the main rd are selling at quite high prices.. we arranged to meet one of our KU buddies, You hye, there..

it has potato, carrots, onions, chickens and 冬粉.. it's a bit spicy.. the 冬粉 is a bit different from Singapore, it is chewy n elastic but it was delicious.. but the chicken is a bit tough.. all of us finished the 冬粉 but not the chicken.. while we observed that the other tables finished their chicken but not 冬粉.. haha. we are the opposite ones.. hehe :p shall go back to eat it again be4 returning to Singapore!!

i really miss singapore food.. i miss the white rice in singapore.. the plain white rice that i cook myself..

Was too busy these few days.. after lessons, we would always go out of sch for dinner.. and only returning like 10 plus pm (korean time) so i have been slping at 1am plus for 2 days le.. so sad.. seems like i'm making myself stressed up.. but i duno wat i hav been doin in my room.. probably chatting with my family takes up most of my time?? i tin so.. I MISS MY DADDY, MUMMY, JOVIAN N BABY!!!!

Today is my 2nd korean lesson.. before i went for korean class, i tried to memorise the vowels n consonants.. and ya i rmb all of them.. but the moment i stepped into class, i forgot everything.. so now, i'm considering whether to drop korean class or not..

if i continue taking, i'm worried that i will hav a hard time catching up as korean is really difficult.. perhaps i'm slow in languages.. and the workload of all the 3 mod is quite heavy..
if i dun take, i might regret in the future that since i'm in korea, i shld have taken their languages.. confused!!

We went for orientation today and there is a campus tour.. we walk ard the sch with KU buddies bringin us ard and intro us the various building that we hav to bear in mind as we are goin to hav our lesson there..

the campus tour end at abt 6.30pm (korean time).. it shld have ended at 6pm but after some photo taking n chit chatting, time passes so fast.. After so much walking, all of us were so hungry "pang go pa".. we spilt into 2 groups as some wanted to eat in sch while others wanted to go out of sch.. of cuz i would follow the "outing" grp.. haha.. on the way, we met our KU buddies, they were goin for dinner.. we joined them n they brought us to one of the alleys.. this shop sells BBQ food.. we ate the bbq pork belly, 三层肉..

They put some garlic n kimch to bbq too.. the garlic is not for eating purpose jus for cooking purpose.. they also ordered soju.. i tried a little but i tin it's not nice as it's a bit bitter.. however, jessica n matthias said that u shld drink everything in 1 gulp.. like wat korean drama shows.. shld not let it stay in ur mouth..

she is from the Woman's uni (but i duno which uni as they have a few woman's uni).. she is studying law in her sch.. so smart ('tok tok' is smart in korean).. she's also in KU for summer program..

The KU buddies then brought us to have desserts on the 2nd floor of a certain building.. it would be a place then we would not have noticed if they din bring us there.. partly, it's becuz all the 招稗 are in korean.. haha..

The ice cream (soft serve) is nice.. and it comes with hot toast (you have to mix the whole bowl of ice shavings, fruits, red bean n ice cream before you start putting the mixture onto the hot toast).. the white cubes on the left of the photo above, on top of the red bean- that is very very nice.. i asked the KU buddies for the names but they told me a korean name which i cannot rmb.. haha.. my memory is veri poor.. i still cannot pick up basic korean language except hello, thank you and bye bye.. haha.. the amazing thing isthe ice cream n hot toast can be refilled.. omg!! so nice.. :p i dun tin this will ever happen in Singapore.. hehe.. :p

My lower half of my body was numb when i was on my bed.. i have certainly walked too much.. In korea, there's a lot of slopes and stairs.. in the subway station, u can only see stairs.. except for a few subway station, u will be able to see escalators.. i tin i'm the happiest among the 8 when i saw escalators.. wahaha.. there're slopes everywhere even it's normal street.. this is really ups and downs..

A group of us met at 10am to go to the da chang jin shooting place but i was late as my room mate, Xinling, finally arrived.. YUPPIE!!! we were doin a bit of small chat.. haha.. :p they were planning to go to the same place too.. but we went our separate ways as she n esther are still waiting for their frenz.. she went to the correct place while we went to the wrong place although there's another palace there.. i heard from Xinling that it was fun as they get to try on the costumes.. they took a lot of funny photos..haha.. the wrong place was a CBD area when we exited from the subway station.. high rise buildings were everywhere..

1st Day at Korea..

Heavy luggage.. heavy hand carry bag.. uncomfortable seat on plane.. duno why i jus can't fall aslp..

This is the Limousine bus tix that we took to Korea University before taking a cab to our hostel..

And my luggage is 26.5Kg , my hand carry is abt 6Kg, so so so heavy, my hostel got no lift, and.... i'm staying on the 4th floor.. poor candy!! can only carry and rest, carry and rest.. cuz no guys are allowed n our dormitory, even it's jus to help us with our luggage.. haiz.. anyway, i survive, so when it's time to go home.. i tin i have to think of ways to move my luggage down 1st..

Excited excited.. I goin Korea tml.. All along, i felt quite calm, peaceful (haha..) about the trip till jus a few min ago, i start to feel excited, enthu abt the trip.. wahaha..

Today i went to look for souvenirs to bring over to Korea, buy laptop case, and some empty containers for my cleanser, toner,etc.. busy nia.. walk till my legs were tired.. then i went for pedicure at century sq.. i did an express one as my mum said that she wanted to fetch me.. as car is better than bus right..

Slept 1++ am this morning as i was watching 'fated to love you'.. seems that it is becoming more n more dragging.. a bit sian to wait for the nx epi to be uploaded as i'll be flying on fri.. woohoo.. duno whether i will have the time to watch my drama there...

I went to sim lim today to exchange for a correct size of my lappy screen protector as i bought the wrong size during the IT fair.. i brought my lappy along so that the person can paste for me.. her first try was bad.. she did sth n tear off the whole screen protector n i tin during that few seconds dust sticked on the screen protector.. she argued that it's not her fault.. with the help from jovian, the person tried again.. Luckily, jovian was there otherwise i would not have a 99.99% perfect screen protector.. Thanks jovian for accompanying me there ar.. she bought a mouse there too.. her mouse was spoilt.. inferior good (jus bought for a few mths and spoilt).. haha..

Happy Daddy's day!!!

We went to watch a lion dance n dragon performance with dinner provided.. overall quite nice.. the performers of lion dance fell from the steel structure.. if i'm not wrong, they fell on the hard ground as the area did not have any mattress.. omg.. i wonder how painful it would be but the performers still stood up and returned to their performance.. woohooo... everone applaused for them..

Went out with Vivien and my sis for lunch at Miss Clarity cafe on thur.. food is quite ok, not fanstatic but seems that my sis likes hers very much.. she keep on emphasizing that her meal is cheaper than mine ($12.80).. bleah.. :p met dawn after that at about 1plus pm.. went to IT fair after that.. walked ard for a while and my feet were tired and painful.. painful as my skin peeled which i duno till i reached home.. Sorry dawn n vivien, leave u girls halfway as i was worried abt the housing issue.. like what my sis said, i was on the phone half of the time.. neglected u girls n jovian..

My hostel problem is finally settled.. whew.. i have come to know a new frenz, who happens to be anli's frenz.. and we will be room mates for 1.5 mth.. yeah!! see ya room mate-to-be.. excited and really look forward to the stay.. hope that we will know each other better n becum best buddy ya..

As of this date (June 9, 2008 KST), you have completed payment for the CJ-I Double.
However, due to abrupt and unavoidable circumstances, the CJ-I House administration is unable to provide you with lodging, and we are forced to place you in the Anam Dormitory.
We sincerely apologize for this sudden change in housing.

Since last week, we have been attempting to reach you via telephone to inform you of this matter
on numerous occasions. However, all these attempts have been without success.
We will refund the outstanding fee left after subtracting the Anam housing fee in cash,
in order to avoid any transaction fees for students.
Thank you in advance for your understanding in regard to this matter.

Once again, we deeply apologize for your inconvenience.

OMG!!! all my friends are in CJ-I Double rooms except me in Anam.. spoilt my day, spoilt my appe.. spoilt the mood that i hav looking forward to the trip.. sob.. sob.. i dun wan to be alone in Anam.. sharing room with other strangers.. in fact, i transferred the dormitory fees earlier than my frenz.. damn unlucky to hav this happened to me.. sob sob sob..... :''(

In addition, they stated that they called me, but i din received any call at all... i have already replied them requesting them to put me back to CJ-I Double.. Hope that they will agree to my request and put me back with my friends.. really hope so.....

Overall, quite interesting, boring at some moments cuz u will onli see the dragons with same stunts between some groups.. heard from the emcee that there will be competition every yr at LYTPK for the dragons to celebrate the dumplings festival.. i tin if u get champion for 3 consecutive yrs, u will be the 'long wang'..

Mascara

Sorry

Today i bought a shirt.. but it's not veri exp.. i dun tin can find this price at any shopping centre.. and my mum paid for it.. wahaha.. =p

After that, my mum went to dye her hair, while waiting for her, i slacked at Mac for like 3 plus hour.. omg.. sharing with Jovian her lappy.. cuz my lappy is used by my youngest sister..

I muz really apologise to Jovian.. i tin i did sth very bad.. but i am really angry when my sis is "bullied" by others.. In primary sch, when i was in pri 5, she was in pri 1.. i would always "back her up" when she was bullied by other classmates.. i could only help her for 2 yrs and let her be independent.. although she is alr 16 this yr, i would still see her as my little sis jus like how parents would look at their children.. it's the same logic.. back to the point, of cuz i would be angry if anyone bullys her or "small look" her.. haha.. SORRY JOVIAN!

Mascara

My mum jus bought mascara from Taiwan.. It's Superb GOOD!!.. it can extended to as long as u wan it to be.. it can even be like fake eyelashes when u apply it.. It's also easy to remove!! my eyelashes din drop even a single strand.. unlike some other brands that i bought and used in Singapore..

We bought that particular brand during our Last Dec Taiwan trip and realised that it's Really Superb GOOD!!
so when my mum went Taiwan again this May, i asked her to go and buy again.. and she bought extra this time.. She bargained and got quite a good price.. IS ANYONE INTERESTED? let me know k?.. :p

Why does the time passes so slow for this week?

It's our turn again.. My granny came to my house this week for her 2-week stay.. time would always pass very slowly when she's at our house.. especially my family has nvr tried stayin with old folks before.. life styles are different, ways of dealing things are different, everything is different..

Let me tell a short story 1st:
Dada was the third son of his family, he has 2 elder bro, 1 elder sis, 1 younger bro and 2 younger sis.. His mum was biased, she only dote on the 2nd son of hers.. Dada was sent to his aunt's hse at a tender age as his aunt doesn't have any children, in the past, pple believe that you shld hav adopt or bring a child back so that it is easier to have children (i duno wat logic is that?).. Dada's mum did not bring him up, his aunt did.. when his aunt had her own children after a few years (at primay one), she sent Dada back.. When Dada went back home, he has to go to work at his dad's sand site.. once he went back home after sch, he was supposed to change and go to the sand site straight away.. be it guarding the gate, collecting receipts, etc under the big, hot sun.. everyday w/o fail..by the time, Dada reached home after work, there always no dishes left.. there's only rice with soy sauce or vege gravy..

Dada had no choice but to giv up his studies after primary 6 as he had no time to do hw or study.. Later he moved out of his house and stayed at his fren's hse.. Both elder bros of Dada will ask him for money when they had no $$.. Being the hardworking and not willing to see his parents working too hard, he still had to go back to the sand site to help out where both his elder bros did not hav to work.. Later the govt wanted to use the land and had the sand site and house "confiscated", Dada's dad then bought a HDB flat.. Dada paid for the renovation as Dada's dad was a gambler and lost all his money..

Later Dada's dad died, Dada paid for the funeral too.. Dada's mum came out to work, she gave her 2nd son her ATM card, he can withdraw any amount he likes at any time.. while Dada has to slog his guts out.. (continued...)

we went courts on monday.. my granny went along with us.. My dad went smoking and my granny asked where is ah chuan (his second bao bei son).. i was so angry when i heard that.. it's ridculous!! she doesn't rmb my 2 sisters' and my name but rmb my cousin's (daugther of second son) .. what does that mean? BIASED!! :(
